End User Upgrade Policy
If a new version of a DeLorme software product is released within thirty (30) days of your purchase date of an older version, you may purchase the new version at a discount with proof of purchase of the older version. Prices vary with product. This offer cannot be combined with any other special offer. Important Note Online Auctions and Piracy
DeLorme does not accept the return of items purchased from online auction sites (the only exception is earthmate.com, which has our authorization). Nor do we accept returned items that are not authentically produced and sold by DeLorme.

DeLorme does not recommend online auctions as reliable places to acquire our software and GPS hardware with the exception of purchasing from Earthmate_LLC. According to the Software and Information Industry Association, over 90 percent of the software sold via online auctions is pirated.
The following are indications that the software offered is probably pirated:
- » The software is described as CD only, CD-R, Beta, or academic and does not include documentation. Software sold without documentation is oftentimes not legitimate
- » The seller emails you after you lose the auction offering you another copy.
- » There is very little information about the software
Additionally, in the case of DeLorme GPS receivers, there have been several models over the past six years and purchasing older models is likely to introduce a variety of operating system and software issues. These older models are no longer covered under the original manufacturer's warranty and DeLorme will not provide technical support for older models. You would be better advised to purchase our latest Earthmate USB GPS at one of the many reputable resellers nationwide or directly from us. This new receiver features the latest GPS chip technologies and has been thoroughly tested prior to shipment.
